Operation taciturn, stressed and loveless, no trace of "Palatinate hospitality". When we asked for a children's chair (actually something like this is offered), the answer came that now she had no time for. Eating very simple and much too expensive for the quality. When the chair came after a few minutes it was very dirty and I had to clean it myself first. She made us feel clearly that we are undesirable. We were only in the restaurant and not in the hotel, so I can not judge that, but after the experience, I am glad not to have to stay there.

No, even at the second visit, the restaurant could not score. My meat (venison) was tough and greasy. The promised spaetzle were fried potato noodles and the sauce totally cooked. Another did not get the salad; Nobody enjoyed it really well. Thanks to the impersonal - almost unfriendly service prevails in the restaurant a frosty atmosphere. Can not recommend it with a clear conscience.

Nice little hotel, very good kitchen and the senior chef still serving! Hello Margot and René the Junior who runs the kitchen! They also operate a catering service for small and large parties or food on wheels for schools and kindergartens. Important the food is prepared shortly before and delivered. So it still tastes very good and is not panicking. Tastes even my son Johannes delicious!

A rather old-fashioned hotel, it would need a restoration and more care in the rooms. The place is rather beautiful, surrounded by hills and vineyards to visit especially in the autumn. Breakfast excellent and valuable collections of ceramics (heritage of the family) on display at various levels. On the ground floor there is also a Michelin-marked restaurant which I have not tried

The somewhat unusual entrance is made up for by the ambience inside and the very good kitchen.
